The Government of Alberta has called for the cancellation of all gatherings with more than 250 people. While this announcement does not include places of worship, and our little church falls below this number, we will use our discretion over the coming weeks on how to navigate through this challenging season.
We want to remain firmly grounded in the truth and fix our attention on Jesus. We do not make decisions out of fear, but instead, follow His example to love our neighbours and to care for those around us who may be more vulnerable. Fear separates. Love unites. During this uncertain time, we want to be wise, caring, responsible, and compassionate.
At this point, we are taking the following steps:
We have suspended Sunday morning public gathering for the time being. We are live-streaming our service every Sunday morning at 10:30 am. You can watch our service online by clicking here.
Wednesdays Bible Study
We will cancel Wednesday night in person Bible Study. We are working to have a Bible Study online either through Facebook or Youtube. If you are interested, please email the office for more information.
Connect Lunch at Market Mall food court March 29 - Cancelled.
We have been sanitizing all surfaces that people may come in contact with throughout the week and will continue to do so. Also, we have ordered all other groups that gather at CCC to sanitize all surfaces before and after their gathering thoroughly.
We want to take this opportunity to encourage one another to live out Jesus' command to love and care for one another (John 15:12). If, over the next weeks, you or someone in your family falls ill due to the virus and need to be quarantined, please reach out to your church family for support in regards to your immediate needs.
We pray for God's provision, leading, and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit during this situation. We pray for the health and safety of our church, our cities, our neighbours, and our world. And we continue to pray for Spirit-led courage and creativity as we ask God to use us to serve and love people well.
